John Edwards

John Edwards was a leading real estate agent in Riverdale for fifteen years before opening his own brokerage company, John Edwards Real Estate, Inc. in the heart of central Riverdale in 1998. His company then merged with Douglas Elliman Real Estate in 2011 where he directed their Riverdale office.

John Edwards was a Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker at Sotheby's International Realty serving Riverdale and its neighboring areas before reopening his own firm, John Edwards Real Estate Inc., in January 2019. Born, raised and schooled in Riverdale, he has spent over 30 years specializing in residential real estate there, as well as in the Bronx, Westchester and Rockland County

His success has been based on exceeding the expectations of those selling their property while remaining sensitive to the needs of clients looking to buy. John is integrally involved in ensuring that his colleagues have all the skills needed to enhance their business including financing, marketing, time management, and general market insight.

John also owns and operates Edwards Painting and Contracting Inc. specializing in kitchen and bathroom renovations, tiling, carpentry, interior and exterior painting, and floor finishing. John is the recipient of several industry awards, including Bronx-Manhattan North Association of Realtors, Inc. Diamond Club Award and the Multi-Million Dollar Club Award.

A graduate of Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, John is a member of The National Honor Society (Delta Mu Delta, Alpha Kappa Chapter), New York State Association of Realtors (NYSAR), National Association of Realtors (NAR), Bronx-Manhattan North Association of Realtors (BMAR), Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors, Inc. (HGAR), and the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY). His other interests include swimming, basketball, photography, fashion design, traveling, listening to live music, and enjoying time with his children.
